   TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 468
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   740 PM CDT THU JUN 5 2008
   
   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
   TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
   
          LARGE PART OF WESTERN AND NORTHERN OKLAHOMA
          A LARGE PART OF NORTHWESTERN TEXAS
   
   EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING FROM 740 PM
   UNTIL 300 AM CDT.
   
   TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
   GUSTS TO 90 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
   AREAS.
   
   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60 STATUTE
   MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF
   PONCA CITY OKLAHOMA TO 40 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF ABILENE TEXAS.

   REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

   DISCUSSION...WATER VAPOR INDICATES VIGOROUS VORT/WIND MAX MOVING EWD
   ACROSS TX PANHANDLE.  SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ONGOING WRN PORTION OF
   WATCH WILL RESPOND TO THE MID LEVEL COOLING AND ASCENT INCREASING
   POTENTIAL FOR TORNADOES AND CONTINUED THREAT OF VERY STRONG/DAMAGING
   WINDS AS THE LINE MOVES EWD ACROSS THE WATCH EARLY TONIGHT.
   
   AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
   SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2.5 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE
   WIND GUSTS TO 80 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO
