   Areas affected...Eastern Missouri...Central and Southern
   Illinois...Far Western Kentucky

   Concerning...Tornado Watch 194...

   Valid 070942Z - 071145Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 194 continues.

SUMMARY...A wind damage and isolated tornado threat may continue for
several more hours, affecting parts of eastern Missouri into central
and southern Illinois. A new watch may need to be considered to the
   east of WW 194.

DISCUSSION...The latest hi-resolution radar imagery from St. Louis,
MO shows a linear MCS moving eastward across eastern Missouri. An
unstable airmass is situated from the line east-southeastward across
south-central Illinois and into western Kentucky. In addition, the
St. Louis WSR-88D VWP has 0-6 km shear around 45 knots with 0-3 km
storm-relative helicity near 350 m2/s2. This may continue to support
a severe threat over the next few hours, as the line crosses the
Mississippi River. The severe threat may tend to develop
southeastward toward far western Kentucky, where more instability is
located. However, the threat is expected to become more isolated
   with time.
