   CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 522...

   THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 522
   CONTINUES.
   
   SCATTERED ELEVATED STRONG/SEVERE TSTMS WILL CONTINUE TO POSE AN
   ISOLATED SEVERE HAIL/SOME WIND THREAT IN THE SHORT TERM ACROSS
   NORTHWEST KS INTO SOUTHWEST NEB. MORE OF A SURFACE BASED THREAT IS
   EXPECTED TO EVOLVE THROUGH EARLY/MID AFTERNOON ACROSS
   SOUTHWEST/CENTRAL NEB...AND A REPLACEMENT/NEW TORNADO WATCH WILL
   LIKELY BE REQUIRED EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.
   
   AFOREMENTIONED SCATTERED TSTMS ARE FOCUSED NEAR/IMMEDIATELY WEST OF
   A NORTH-SOUTH INVERTED TROUGH/FRONT THAT EXTENDS ACROSS NORTHWEST KS
   INTO CENTRAL NEB. WITHIN A STEEP LAPSE RATE/HIGHLY SHEARED
   ENVIRONMENT TO THE NNE OF THE SOUTH-CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS UPPER
   LOW...AT LEAST AN ISOLATED SEVERE HAIL THREAT WILL CONTINUE OVER THE
   NEXT FEW HOURS. WITH TIME...THROUGH EARLY/MID AFTERNOON...THESE
   STORMS /ESPECIALLY NEAR THE AFOREMENTIONED SURFACE BOUNDARY/ OR MORE
   SO ADDITIONAL SURFACE BASED DEEP CONVECTIVE DEVELOPMENT IS EXPECTED
   TO OCCUR...WITH DAMAGING WINDS AND TORNADOES BECOMING MORE OF A
   CONCERN INTO CENTRAL NEB.
