The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
The Maryland Panhandle
Southeast Ohio
Southwest and south central Pennsylvania
Northern West Virginia
* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 805 PM
until 200 AM EDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Scattered supercells and storm clusters will persist
through the early overnight hours as storms spread to the east and
east-southeast. Damaging winds and large hail will be the main
threats, though an isolated tornado or two could occur through about
9-10 pm EDT.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35
statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles north of
Parkersburg WV to 20 miles north of Hagerstown MD. For a complete
