   Tornado Watch Number 29
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   610 PM CST Sat Mar 5 2022

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Tornado Watch for portions of 
     East central and southeast Iowa
     West central Illinois
     Northeast Missouri

   * Effective this Saturday evening from 610 PM until 1100 PM CST.

   * Primary threats include...
     A couple tornadoes possible
     Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
     Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible

   SUMMARY...Broken bands of supercells in Iowa and northern Missouri
   will continue to spread quickly east-northeastward through late
   evening, with a continued threat for a couple of tornadoes, damaging
   winds of 60-70 mph, and isolated large hail near 1 inch diameter.  A
   gradual transition to a more linear convective mode suggests that
   the threat for damaging winds may increase later this evening.

   The tornado watch area is approximately along and 40 statute miles
   east and west of a line from 40 miles west northwest of Dubuque IA
   to 40 miles south southwest of Quincy IL. For a complete depiction

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
   tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
   area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
   threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
   and possible warnings.

   AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
   surface and aloft to 1 inch. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
   gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 400. Mean
   storm motion vector 24045.
