   MARYLAND...DELAWARE...AND SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY

   CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 416...

   THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 416
   CONTINUES.

   SUMMARY...THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER CONTINUES ACROSS THE WATCH
   AREA AS THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE INTO A DEEPLY-MIXED BOUNDARY
   LAYER AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS. THE MAIN THREAT CONTINUES TO BE FOR
   ISOLATED DAMAGING WINDS.

   DISCUSSION...ISOLATED TO WIDELY-SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO
   MOVE EAST ACROSS THE WATCH AREA...WITH A SLIGHT DECREASE IN OVERALL
   INTENSITY AND COVERAGE NOTED OVER THE LAST HOUR. ADDITIONAL
   THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT IS EXPECTED TO BE SOMEWHAT LIMITED AS A
   CIRRUS CANOPY OVERSPREADS THE AREA...AND SHOULD BE LIMITED TO ANY
   OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES THAT EMERGE FROM THE LONGER-LIVED STORMS
   CURRENTLY OVER FREDERICK COUNTY, MD AND CLARKE COUNTY, VIRGINIA. A
   FEW ADDITIONAL STORMS MAY ALSO AFFECT THE NORTHERN PORTION OF THE
   WATCH AREA AS STORMS MOVE EAST SOUTHEAST FROM SOUTHERN PA. THE MAIN
   THREAT CONTINUES TO BE FOR STORMS THAT ARE APPROACHING THE
   WASHINGTON D.C. METRO AREA THAT STILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE
   BRIEF DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IN THE STRONGER DOWNDRAFTS.
