The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 323, 324
continues.

SUMMARY...Isolated severe wind gusts and large hail remain possible
across northwest Texas into southwestern Oklahoma. A temporal
extension of the watch may be warranted after 04z.

DISCUSSION...Maturation of a larger MCS is likely underway as
eastern NM High Plains convection digs southeast toward the old
synoptic frontal zone draped across northwest TX/southwest OK.
Several measured severe wind gusts have been observed with the
squall line has it surged into the TX south Plains over the last few
hours. Of particular note is the expanding convective complex from
BPG-CDS-LBB. Increasing 1km AGL flow into the frontal zone should
encourage upscale growth over the next few hours. With time this
activity should propagate downstream into southwestern OK. Isolated
wind/hail remain possible, but very heavy rain, possibly prolonged,
may ultimately be the main meteorologic concern.
