The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 244
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat continues across southeastern ND and
northwestern MN.

DISCUSSION...Sustained low-level warm advection will continue to
encourage slow eastward propagation to the expanding thunderstorm
complex over the upper Red River Valley region. Over the last few
hours, episodic new updrafts have formed along the western flank,
briefly exhibiting signs of hail production; however, eastward
movement ultimately results in weaker updrafts and lesser hail
potential. At this time it appears the primary risk will remain
north of the ND/SD latitude, extending into portions of northwestern
MN. In consultation with WSO FGF, ww244 has been extended in
space/time into portions of northwestern MN to account for this
slow-moving complex.
