Valid 180045Z - 180145Z The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 34 continues. SUMMARY...The severe threat across WW34 will continue but gradually decline through this evening. Trends will be monitored but a downstream watch appears necessary. DISCUSSION...A cluster of severe thunderstorms with a history of producing large hail and a tornado will continue east over the next 1 to 2 hours. A general downtrend in convective intensity has been noted over the last hour consistent with the loss of diurnal heating and a shifting of large scale ascent away from the ongoing convection. WW34 has been locally extended until 0200 UTC to account for the remaining threat. Downstream of the storm cluster, buoyancy weakens with temperatures in the low 60s F suggesting minimal threat exists farther east. A downstream watch appears unlikely at this time but, severe weather, including strong wind gusts and a tornado or two, will remain possible for the next couple of hours. ..Lyons.. 03/18/2021 ...Please see www.spc.noaa.gov for graphic product...
