The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 698 continues.

SUMMARY...Low severe threat remains over portions of MS late this
evening. New watch is not currently anticipated.

DISCUSSION...Pre-frontal convection continues along a corridor from
middle TN - northwest AL - central MS. This activity appears to be
maintained by forcing along southern fringe of large-scale height
falls ahead of strong trough. Even so, frontal convergence is
somewhat negated by veered low-level flow and overall thunderstorm
intensity is not particularly robust. While shear profiles continue
to favor supercell activity, ongoing storm mode/intensity suggest
localized wind gusts are the primary threat.
