The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 695 continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat will shift across eastern portions of ww695
over the next few hours. It's not entirely clear whether a new watch
will be required downstream.

DISCUSSION...Back edge of deep convection is advancing
east-northeast at roughly 40kt. This activity has struggled to
attain severe levels over the last few hours but several organized
bands should advance across eastern parts of ww695 ahead of strong
short-wave trough. Boundary-layer moistening is occurring across
eastern MO into western IL which may provide sufficient buoyancy for
aforementioned convection to remain organized as it spreads toward
the MS River. Damaging winds remain possible with this near-surface
based convection, along with some tornado threat, especially where
surface dew points have risen into the upper 50s.
