Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 443...

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 443
continues.

SUMMARY...The severe threat continues across remaining portions of
WW 443.

DISCUSSION...An MCS has crossed southern Lake Michigan recently,
with a couple of severe storms located along its southern flank
across far southwestern Michigan and far northwestern Indiana. 
These storms are progressing into gradually weaker instability with
eastward extent, with the ongoing severe threat expected to decrease
over time in tandem with boundary layer cooling.

Farther west, a low-level boundary extends from near Chicago
southwestward to near PIA.  Although towering cumulus were noted
with this boundary, subtle subsidence aloft in the wake of a
mid-level wave east of the region was likely limiting convective
development along this boundary.  With boundary layer cooling
expected to lead to stabilization through the remainder of the
evening, western portions of WW 443 may be cancelled early.  An
upcoming Watch Status message will reflect these evolving convective
trends.
