The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 385
continues.

SUMMARY...A couple of strong wind gusts remain possible with slow
moving storms over southeast KS through 08Z, but heavy rain appears
to be the main threat.

DISCUSSION...A couple of slow moving bands of storms persist over
southeast KS. It appears the greatest risk for locally strong wind
gusts may occur with cell mergers. Otherwise, due to the slow motion
and lack of organization, heavy rain will remain the primary risk
next couple of hours. Given the widespread nature of thunderstorm
development, the atmosphere in southeast KS is being quickly
overturned, and any moist inflow along the southerly low-level jet
is cut off from this region by the large MCS over Oklahoma.
Therefore, these storms will probably begin a gradual decrease by
08Z.
